Catherine Le Bris

Catherine Le Bris grew up in Rennes, Brittany, France. She attended both the Conservatoire de Musique where she studied piano, acting and harp, and the University (Université de Haute-Bretagne) where she obtained a degree in Art History. She pursued her harp studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris where she graduated and was awarded first prize followed by further study as a student at the Juilliard School of Music in New York. Back in France, Catherine was a certified harp teacher and performed for ten years as a freelance player with orchestras such as Orchestre de Bretagne and Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France and in various chamber music groups. She then decided to become an artist manager after having taken part in organising concerts for ‘Carnegie Small’, a private venture which attracted audiences and critics alike to a new musical experience. As an artists’ manager, she worked successively at the Valmalète office in Paris, Harrison Parrott and London Musicians. She set up her own company, CLB Management in January 2000.
