Roderick Thomson
Roderick Thomson is a Director and Projects Manager at Van Walsum Management. Music has been part of his life from his earliest years; he was a chorister both at Ripon Cathedral and St George’s Chapel, Windsor, moving on with music exhibitions to Winchester College and Balliol College, Oxford.
After graduating in 1976, he worked for four years at Victor Hochhauser Ltd, gaining invaluable experience in many aspects of the music business. He joined Van Walsum Management in 1981, helping to build up their current extensive portfolio of projects and clients; in particular, he has responsibility for the presentation of the company’s activities in the Far East.
He is still an active cellist and bass player, with a particular enthusiasm for chamber music and jazz.
