UK Trade & Investment

IAMA has been appointed as an accredited group sponsor and organiser for UKTI supported missions since June 2004. This initiative is a Government sponsored scheme and is designed to help UK business compete in world markets. Similar schemes exist in other countries and are usually attached to a department of foreign affairs or Corps Diplomatique.

 

UKTI supported events for 2008

All members of IAMA are welcome to join the group visits to China and Germany this year and if you represent a UK company, you may be able to qualify for UKTI funding.  All estimated costs are basic and delegates should make adequate provision for their stay in the respective countries.  UK companies should read the terms and conditions below and if you believe you qualify for UKTI funding, please complete a form and send it to the IAMA office.

18 October: Delegates leave for Shanghai Arts Festival and Fair:

The Summit Conference-A decade's journey on the way of promoting exchanges of international performing arts (including a special presentation for 2010
World EXPO Shanghai, China).
Evening: Boat cruise on the Huangpu River and reception plus festival performance in theatre 

 

20 October
Morning , Preparation for Exhibition hall
Afternoon: Opening ceremony of the 10th Shanghai Performing Arts Fair (promotional showcases of selected Chinese and international programs)
The First Day Signing Ceremony for the first part of projects in 2009
Evening: Festival performance in theatre
 
21 October
 Morning: Exhibition hall
Joint meeting of major fairs and performing arts associations from different countries
Afternoon: British Council programme of venue inspections

22 October

Morning: Continuation of the site inspections and meeting of local promoters
Evening: Festival performance in theatre
 
23 October
Return to London arriving 16:05

 Visit to Berlin : November 2008

Deutscher Orchestertag meeting

This is scheduled to take place in Berlin from 2-3 November 2008.

The conference begins lunchtime on Sunday 2 November and concludes in the late afternoon of 3 November at the Umweltforum Berlin. This event is supported by UK Trade and Investment
